Polar is an immersive game of survival through climate change, where in game donations create real-world change.
And we need your help to bring it to life.
Background
“In 2020, the earth's ice sheets are melting at six times the pace they did in the 1990s.”
- Ice Sheet Mass Balance Inter-comparison Exercise
“The world’s best scientists tell us that to undo the most extreme scenarios of climate change, 2020 must be the year for coordinated, comprehensive climate action.”
- World Wildlife Fund
In 2021, Gamers on mobile devices will spent over $32 Billion USD on in-game purchases.

Concept
Polar is a game where players navigate a mother Polar Bear and her two cubs through a puzzle of floating icebergs, pollution, and human interference in the arctic, helping her survive.
The game begins in the present and continues into the future as climate change worsens using real data and climate predictions, which makes the puzzles and survival harder.
Throughout the game, integrated donation moments and messages appear at key checkpoints. Players can choose to wait (time-gated) to continue playing, or donate to help fight climate change and continue playing immediately.
If they do donate, ice freezes over within the game, reversing climate change, and their donation goes directly towards fighting climate in the real world (reversing climate change in the real world).
